Freedom Students
Freedom Students is a growing ministry for teenagers in middle school and high school. If you are seeking close friendships or to know Christ and his purpose for your life, you have found BOTH!
No matter what you have been through or what questions and ideas you have about God and faith and how that relates to you and your life, our youth group welcomes you to sit and chat with us, confront and discuss common and hard questions, and find biblical answers all the while developing close friendships. We can’t wait to get to know you and hear your story!
Meet Your Leader
Student Leader, J.T. Wright, is a retired college baseball player, full-time educator and coach, and most importantly a passionate student and teacher of God’s Word. He loves adolescents so much that he spends all day, every day, with them. (But, seriously), J.T. desires to see young people come to faith in Christ and grow in a relationship with Him.
J.T. and his wife, Hannah, have two children, John and Lottie. He loves to involve them in his ministry here at Freedom, so you may find Hannah and Lottie by his side or catch John on his shoulders shooting hoops.
J.T.’s favorite Bible verse, Philippians 3:10-11, expresses the purpose of his own life, and he hopes will become the purpose of your life too:
“that I may know him [that is Christ] and the power of his resurrection, and may share his sufferings, becoming like him in his death, that by any means possible I may attain the resurrection from the dead.”

Our Sunday Morning Student Ministry experience is a more intimate experience where you will gather with a smaller group of students to open God’s Word and listen to a Biblical message either led by Student Leader, J.T., or through a RightNow Media video study. On Sunday Mornings, you will circle up with friends, talk and laugh about life together, and dig into God’s Word, walking through an expository message and memorizing scripture.

On Wednesday Nights, our students gather together to grow in their faith AND have fun…and sometimes food! We will hear from God’s Word through topical teaching led by Student Leader, J.T., or a RightNow Media video study, and don’t forget to hang around because you might catch someone on the basketball court or challenge someone to a ping-pong match.
