Updated Membership Contact
Information Needed
The COVID-19 outbreak has been a very serious situation for our state, the country and the world. Like any trial, hardship or difficulty it has exposed some areas that need a little attention. And Freedom is no exception. While I am proud of our response as a church, it has been made clear that we, like many, were not ready for such a situation. Over the past few days, it has become clear that we, as a church, need to strengthen our ability to communicate with membership, make advances in our use of technology and develop long-term plans for future events like COVID-19.
With this in mind, I would like to ask that our church take a step forward to help address our communication deficit. We have a wonderful database called Realm, which we have been using for the past several years. It has some amazing tools for communication built in but, at this time, we are not using these tools to their greatest ability. For instance, Realm has a texting and email feature that we can use in situations just like the one we are dealing with now, but in order for us to use this tool we must have current and updated email addresses and mobile numbers for our membership. Unfortunately, we do not have this information at the current time. So, in order to move forward and utilize these resources at the highest level I am calling on our membership to provide our administrative team with their most current and updated information. In order to gather this information, I am asking each member to fill out the form below. This form will allow us to update your profile in Realm and begin communicating with you at the highest level.
Once we gather this information, we can begin rolling out other resources offered by Realm such as online giving and giving statements, membership profile management, electronic check-in for Sunday School and Bible study, event registration and more.
Please fill out and submit the form below:

Freedom Baptist Church Covid-19 Update
A Letter from Pastor David
Dear Church Family and the Myrick Community,
The Leadership at Freedom Baptist Church takes the Covid-19 outbreak very seriously. We have a deep concern for the welfare of our church members and attendees as well as our community. As we trust the Lord, we feel strongly that we must act with the highest level of responsibility in order to help minimize the potential exposure to Covid-19. Our leadership has responded to this outbreak with great courage and resolve. Over the past several days, our leadership has communicated often and worked together to create a plan for the days and weeks ahead. The development of this plan came with much prayer. In addition to this, we sought counsel from pastors, church leaders and medical professionals. With the information provided to us, along with seeking the Lord, the leadership at Freedom Baptist Church has concluded that we will not have Sunday morning services or programming, mid-week programming or any other church-related activities for the next three weeks. This means that we will not have any scheduled activities on campus nor will we be allowing anyone to gather on campus during this time. It is with sadness that we are having to take this measure, but we know it is the right decision.
Our leadership is encouraging our members and attendees to stay connected with each other during this time. While we will not be meeting on campus, we can and should still operate in such a way to encourage one another, pray for one another and care for one another as the scripture teaches. In short, we need each other more now than we ever have. During this time, our leadership is encouraging our membership and attendees to meet in small groups of 10 or less to pray for our church, community and nation, as well as, fellowship and studying God’s word together. In addition to this, our leadership will be making themselves available to shepherd our flock during this time. Please contact one of our deacons or pastors if you have a specific need or would like someone to visit with you.
At this time, our leadership is working out the details for a plan that will allow you to sit under the teaching of the word over the next three weeks even though our campus will be closed. This plan includes uploading sermons and teachings from your pastor on Sundays and Wednesday. These sermons and teachings will follow the current teaching series we are in: our “Hot Topic” series on Wednesday evenings and our “Prayer” series on Sunday mornings. These videos will be hosted on our YouTube channel and will be linked to our website and Facebook page. Each week I will post a link to these videos, or you can simply go to our website to view the sermons. If you have any questions about this in the weeks ahead you may call the church office, contact one of our deacons or contact one of our church staff members. The staff email addresses can be found on the website.
Each week church leadership will be evaluating the Covid-19 situation and making adjustments as needed. If we are able to begin gathering before the three weeks is up then we will communicate that information through our Facebook page and website.
Thank you for your prayers and support during this time.
Sincerely,
David Fedele
Lead Pastor
